Windows Apple Windows 7 or above OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) or above Installing and using PrideDesktop for Windows or follow the text instructions below. Open a web browser and go to. Click Install VMware Horizon Client. Under the VMware Horizon Client for Windows heading, click Go to Downloads. Click the Download button. Once downloaded, run the file. If you can't find the file, check your Downloads folder.

Click Agree & Install to begin the installation. Click Finish. You may need to restart your computer. If prompted, click Restart Now. Double click the VMware Horizon Client icon on the desktop. Double click Add Server.
Type view.hofstra.edu and click Connect. Click Agree. Enter your Hofstra username and password. For domain, select Student s if you are a student or Employees if you are an employee.

Open a web browser (preferably Safari) and go to. Click Install VMware Horizon Client. Under the VMware Horizon Client for Mac heading, click Go To Downloads. This will be towards the right of the screen. Click Download.
If you used Safari, click the Downloads button on the top right and double click the VMware-Horizon file listed. If you used a different browser you will usually find the file in your Downloads folder. Click Agree. Drag and drop the VMware Horizon Client icon to the Applications folder on the screen. To do this, use your mouse to click and hold anywhere within the green circle and drag until you are over the Applications folder.
Then let go of the mouse button. Double click the Applications folder. Double click the WMware Horizon Client icon.
If you receive the prompt below, click Open. When asked to enter a server, type view.hofstra.edu and then click Connect. Click Accept to Hofstra's Acceptable Use Guidelines.
